WILDSPRING ROAD AND AMARIAS DRIVE, VILLAGE OF ROUND LAKE
ROADWAY RESURFACING AND SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

The contractor has nearly completed the concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk work. Milling the asphalt roadway is expected to begin the week of 5-22-23. This work will cause traffic delays with moving lane closures, heavy truck traffic, and flaggers. Please slow down and give yourself extra time to get in and out of the area.

We are pleased to inform you that the Village of Round Lake is beginning roadway improvements in your area. The road and sidewalk improvements are scheduled to start the week of April 17th, weather permitting, and be completed by July 14th. Landscape restoration will follow in August 2023. Construction working hours are 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday through Saturday.
The project is located along Amarias Dr from S. Cedar Lake Rd to W. Townline Rd and S. Wildspring Rd from W. Townline Rd to IL Rte. 120. Construction operations include pavement mill and resurfacing, ADA accessible sidewalk improvements, pavement patching, pavement markings, spot curb and gutter replacement, and landscape restoration.
Please anticipate that construction activities may cause some delays in travel. Access will be maintained throughout the project, apart from brief interruptions caused by the Contractor’s equipment. Additionally, there are no anticipated interruptions to services (mail, refuse, and recycling pickup) to your property. While the crew is working on your street, please drive slowly, be attentive, and follow the direction of flaggers.
The General Contractor for this work is Peter Baker and Son from Lake Bluff, IL. Gewalt Hamilton Associates is the Resident Engineer overseeing the execution of the contract and providing construction inspection services.
